SEPTILOOP
SEPTILOOP is an indirect qualitative manual test, intended to aid in the identification of patients at risk of induced immunosuppression during suspected bacterial blood stream infection (including sepsis). The test result must be used in conjunction with other medical and diagnostic evaluations and is intended for trained healthcare professionals use only.
SEPTILOOP is an in vitro diagnostic test using lipopolysaccharide antigen (LPS) to stimulate cells in heparinized whole blood. Detection of Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α) by lateral flow assay (LFA) is applied to identify the endotoxin tolerance status of the patient’s immune cells.
